About Me
My name’s KJ. I’m a dressmaker, a seamstress, and I love a challenge.
Ten years ago, I stitched my first seam. I didn’t know then that sewing would become the thing that held me together.
Since then, I’ve made dresses, coats, toys, bags—and enough mistakes to fill a filing cabinet. But that’s part of the fun, isn’t it? Figuring out where you went wrong, swearing at it, then going back and nailing it.
I don’t sew to be neat or polished (is there such a thing as a tidy seamstress?). I sew because I love it—and because I want other people to realise they can do it too.
This isn’t a glossy tutorial blog. It’s where I document the chaos, the triumphs, the bobbin-related breakdowns, the midnight stitching marathons, and the quiet joy of finally getting something to fit just right.
If you’re here to learn, welcome. If you’re here to watch, pull up a chair.
Either way, this is the Bobbin Race—and I’m running it at full tilt, with a seam ripper in my teeth and a fabric stash that might be plotting against me.
(I’m looking at you, velvet.)
